Fun little pulse we have today! Just about everywhere is breaking really good so there is no need to participate in crowd-fest at South spots closest to the tip of Rincon. The waves are biggest there, but you will not get to enjoy one all to yourself. Multiple surfers, boogie boarders, and longoboarders on every set wave. Everywhere else is a little smaller but still about chest high and glassy with light crowds. The winds are dead. If you ever see yourself in the report, claim your pic(s)! Looks like we'll see a little pulse over the next couple of days and then again for the weekend. Should be some fun waves out there. Long term forecast remains grim. We will not see a change in the weather pattern for us. The rest of January will have some small pulses here and there, possibly mid-week this coming week. February will see increased storm activity, but it will not be in our swell window. We'll get a weak push from the tail-end of each system. Every storm will go up and over our swell generation zone and continue to dump non-stop waves at Europe. I haven't checked historical records yet, but I imagine this does happen from time to time. Every year can't be epic for the Caribbean I guess. We will still continue to see some small pulses through February and get surf, just don't expect any consistent flow of considerable swell. The North side of the island will be the only place to surf bigger waves and the crowds will reflect that. That's the latest forecast for surfing Puerto Rico.
